I’ve heard people nickname Bora Bora “Boring Boring,” and honestly I can’t imagine why. It really seems like there’s a ton to do. I’m sort of wondering if this is a case of people not doing their research.
Because for me, for weeks now I’ve been torn on which excursions and activities to book. There are that many.
We’ll be staying at the Four Seasons Bora Bora, and when I asked the concierge for a list of activities, they sent us a BOOKLET of options, information, and details. Side Note: The Four Seasons Bora Bora has been SO FANTASTIC on providing pre-arrival information!
I really planned on going to Bora Bora to do nothing but relax. But now I’m sort of thinking otherwise. Jet ski? No problem! How about sail the crystal clear waters? On what type of boat? Because there are a ridiculously insane amount of options! What about snorkeling? Scuba diving? Surfing? Windsurfing? Parasailing? Swimming with sharks? Stingrays? There’s even a romantic photo cruise!
Want more? Okay! How about a chauffeured catamaran or boat? ATV tour? A traditional polynesian tour?
Not enough? Embark on a helmet dive, or how about ride underwater on a submarine scooter? FYI: the only other place in the WORLD you can do this is in the Maldives!
There’s also plenty to do right at the hotel. One of the reasons we are headed to Moorea is for the snorkeling. I hear it’s not super great right around the bungalows in Bora Bora. Not the case at the Four Seasons. Here they have their very own lagoon sanctuary, complete with an in-house marine biologist. Guests can book a private snorkel tour, or go off on their own.
The biggest problem is that I want to do it all.
