I always gush about Marriott breakfasts, and once again, this location’s didn’t disappoint. Seriously, you can be at any Marriott in world and it’s guaranteed you’ll have an amazing breakfast.
At the CasaMagna Marriott Resort in Cancun, guests are seated on the lower level, and the huge breakfast buffet is a few steps up in the very middle. Their food is certainly something to be showed off – with every station you can imagine, live chef’s, and fresh fruits and pastries, this meal is not to be missed!
After breakfast, the six of us changed into our suits and headed to Wet and Wild Cancun.
Wet and Wild Cancun is a very small water park, but don’t let that fool you – there’s still so much to do. From a wave pool to water rides, you won’t get bored here. Plus, there’s alcohol. In a water park. I won’t begin to question the safety of it, but whatever. When on vacation, right?
There’s even a small lazy river. Truthfully, none of us weren’t expecting much, but boy were we surprised by how much we enjoyed our day here! We liked it way more than we thought we would that we stayed until close.
The majority of our time was spent in the wave pool, attempting to balance ourselves on inner tubes while the waves came crashing down. I was especially impressed with myself for going on every ride here – even the two super scary ones!
The park closed at 5:30, and we were back at the Marriott soon after. It’s really that close to the main hotels.
And I can’t wait to gush about tonight’s restaurant – Gustino’s at the JW Marriott, located next door to the CasaMagna Marriott.
This is what it looks like walking in, and the actual restaurant is downstairs!
Then, down a long hallway. It was eerie and smelled amazing!
The food at Gustino’s was absolutely delicious, and I HIGHLY recommend eating here, even if you aren’t staying onsite! Not to mention, the service was beyond spectacular. Everything was a presentation – from the huge wine cellar walking in, to the candlelight, to the live saxophone player, to the waitstaff surrounding the table as they served our dishes! Yes! Seven different waiters and waitresses came around to each one of us in unison as each course was served. I’ve never seen anything like it.
More from Cancun still to come!
