Disney’s Carthay Circle Restaurant is located at Disney’s California Adventure Park, and is one of Disneyland’s newest eateries. It celebrates the golden age of movies, with a posh lounge downstairs, and an amazing restaurant on the top level. It’s said to be one of the finest restaurants inside any American theme park, including the famous Club 33 located across the way in Disneyland’s Magic Kingdom. Naturally, we had to check it out.
While I’ve heard fabulous things about their dinner menu, we ate here for lunch. Sit down restaurants are limited at Disney’s California Adventure, and after walking around all day, there’s nothing more I want than a sit down meal. It’s an awesome break.
We both ordered the burger and fries, and while it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS, I can’t remember the last time we dropped upwards of $60 for burgers. However, any amount of money is worth a break from the crowd and heat. At this point in the day I was ready to pay much more for a blasting AC.
I wish we didn’t have a flight to catch this evening, because we missed out on seeing the World of Color show. Carthay Circle is a participating restaurant in the World of Color package. This secures a prime viewing spot for what’s said to be an amazing show. It’s similar to the Fantasmic packages offered at certain Disney’s Hollywood Studios restaurants. I guess there’s always next time.
Nevertheless, while the restaurant is pricey, it’s impressive. The service is amazing, and I highly recommend checking it out!
