We’re gearing up for a trip to Disney World! I recently received an email from Disney asking if I want to set up FastPass+. It then requires me to link my park tickets. At the end of the day I’m assuming this is gearing us up for our Disney World Magic Bands. And oh the dread! I don’t do well with change. Why why why.
So, what are Disney World Magic Bands?
According to Disney’s Website, it’s a band with a special chip in it that enables guests to travel lighter throughout their vacation. You can load your park tickets onto it, access FastPass+, and even open your hotel room door.
Kind of sounds like the key to the world card to me, but then again, I’m no expert.
I sort of wonder if it’s a way to travel lighter/easier, or just a way for them to eventually monetize these bands.
Seriously though, I feel like wearing a band is a kids thing. It’s like when you’re at a resort, like the Atlantis or something, and are forced to wear a wristband in case you get separated from your parents.
Have you tried it yet? Do you like it? I’ll be honest, I’m super wary.
