The spa at the Four Seasons Bora Bora Resort is simply fabulous. For one, it has two coed hydro-pools. This place truly understands couples relaxation, because I for one hate when they separate Josh and I from relaxing together!
The spa’s amenities are endless – the entire complex is just so peaceful and relaxing. We actually returned the following day just to use the spa’s pool, and we fell asleep on the comfortable chairs overlooking this:
My most favorite nap ever. Heaven, I tell you.
Anyway, on the actual day of our treatments, we arrived about 45 minutes prior to our appointments, embarking on a leisurely stroll to the spa building, which is located at the very back of the resort.
We sat down for a brief consultation, so they could learn about our preferred pressure and present us with the different scents offered (you can even get the one with the 14k gold flakes for an additional charge)! I LOVE picking out my preferred scent – it’s one of my favorite spa amenities, and this experience did not disappoint!
After we checked in and selected our scents, we went to our respective locker rooms to change into robes and slippers. The locker rooms are small, and don’t have as many of the amenities that other Four Season’s spa’s have, but that doesn’t mean it’s not great. After changing, we met by one of the coed hydro pools to relax, and relax we did!
The deck area’s are S-T-U-N-N-I-N-G. We chose to hang out by the pool that overlooks the snorkel sanctuary and Mt. Otemanu (vs. the one that overlooks the ocean). It. Was. Beautiful. Probably my most favorite view EVER. Off the hydro pool and deck area, there’s also a scented rain shower and steam room. Of course, there’s also complimentary sun screen, aloe, and water.
About ten minutes prior to our appointment, we headed to the relaxation room. The beds were WONDERFUL. You could move and adjust them any which way, and it’s by far the nicest relaxation room I’ve ever been in. We grabbed books all about Bora Bora, laid back and, well, relaxed!
Our massage therapists eventually greeted us and we were off to start our couples treatment. I got the Polynesian massage while Josh got a hot stone massage. It was great and I didn’t want it to end! One of the best 80 minutes of my life.
Post treatment, we relaxed some more by the pool before making our way to the hidden area, just past the spa, so we could check out the ocean! This was a VERY short walk and totally worth it!
We took the long way back to our bungalow, passing more of the snorkeling lagoon’s. The water is so crystal clear, and the corals are so bright and vibrant, that you can see them right from the path!
