A week in a plunge pool room could get ridiculously pricey, with it’s $1,500 per night price tag. I know, pick your jaw up off the floor. Halfway through our stay, we switched to the Four Seasons Costa Rica ceilo room, which is literally half the price of a plunge pool canopy suite. While the plunge pool suite is totally worth the splurge, the Ceilo room is pretty awesome too.

Rather than being located in the hills, like the plunge pool canopy suite’s are, these rooms are located in buildings that are only a short walk from the lobby, pools, beaches, and restaurants (so there’s no golf cart transportation needed).
The best part about these rooms is their location. Located on the very top floor, guests still feel like their high up in the Costa Rican tree’s, with sweeping views of the water.
The decoration is fabulous, and the rooms are well appointed, not to mention huge, especially with their screened-in balconies!
I briefly mentioned how amazing the hotel’s restaurants are. Breakfast each morning at the Papagayo restaurant was definitely something to look forward to each day. We’re not even huge breakfast people, so ensuring we visited each and every morning says a lot.
And what’s a vacation without some poolside drinks? Someone actually came around and made fresh drinks from the coconuts in the trees above. So cool!
Anyway, back to the restaurants. Congo’s Bar & Grill is another fabulous eatery. I love open and airy eateries, and this restaurant fits the bill. The view of both the pool and the activities beach while eating made the atmosphere even more enjoyable!
We visited during Costa Rica’s Independence Day, and the hotel celebrated with guests by releasing floating lanterns on the beach (it was so Tangled). But first, before it got dark enough to release the lanterns, we watched the sun set. It’s amazing how many places we go, yet don’t take the time to relax and enjoy. In life, it’s all about the small things we take for granted, and being in a beautiful place, watching something as gorgeous as the sun setting was PERFECT.
More from the Four Seasons in Costa Rica still to come!
