It’s no secret that Disney World can be totally exhausting, which is why it’s important to incorporate pool time! The pool theming at Disney’s Boardwalk Resort is totally on point. So Disney’s Boardwalk Resort has two pools, the main one is called Luna Park (little factoid, Luna Park is the name of the famous amusement/boardwalk area of New York City’s Coney Island).
This pool gets mixed reviews, with the negatives claiming it’s very “out there.” With it’s large circus tent refreshment area and massive clown faced slide, I get it. While it’s certainly not a luxurious hotel pool it fits the hotel’s theme perfectly. Actually, it’s quite adorable. Yes, it’s a huge disappointment that you can’t relax in your lounger and have waitstaff come by with food and drink, but this is common with most Disney hotels.
The clown slide is one of the best Disney hotel slides! It’s modeled after a wooden roller coaster, and the theme carries through as you’re going down.
Adjacent to the main pool is a small whirlpool. I think the thing that surprised me the most is how quiet the pool area was. The hustle and bustle of the Boardwalk area doesn’t carry through here. It was actually quite relaxing, which is a huge plus.
All in all, the Luna Park Pool at Disney’s Boardwalk receives a huge thumbs up! What a fun way to spend the afternoon!
