I’m convinced we ate at some of Montreal’s best restaurants during our trip, as we stuffed our faces at a number of local eateries that were BEYOND AMAZING. Below you will find our favorite three, in no specific order. I also should note how amazing the cocktails are here! It’s unusual for us to have drinks both before and after dinner, but we constantly found ourselves doing so, because everything here is just so good, including the drinks!
Mechant Boeuf
It’s all about the bar here! I asked the bartender to pour me something sweet, and I’m kicking myself for not asking what it was! This wine made me (shockingly) tipsy after only one glass, and it was unbelievable GOOD. Meanwhile, Josh is a beer guy and loved tasting all the local brews! We couldn’t get enough!
Barroco
A quaint restaurant located in Old Town Montreal, Barroco is not to be missed! The atmosphere is wonderful, but the food is even better. The ribsteak is one of the best (and most tasty meals) I’ve ever had – ever.
XO
This restaurant is located right off the lobby of the Hotel Le St. James, and is so delicious that we ate here twice – once for their amazing breakfast, and a second for drinks and dessert! The chairs are SO COMFORTABLE that you want to linger, and their private booths are so quaint you want to stay forever. Throw in the lighting and it’s an atmosphere not to be missed.
