If you’re ever in Thailand and Phuket isn’t on your “must visit list,” you’re seriously missing out. After busy days in Bangkok, there was nothing better than relaxing in Phuket! I loved the days we spent here doing nothing. While we did embark on some excursions (which I’ll get to, because there’s still a lot to see and do in Phuket), most of the time, we simply did nothing. I love doing nothing, and the grounds of the JW Marriott Phuket are so pretty that you can’t help but want to spend all your time here!.
This is the kiddie pool at the JW (pictured below), which is clearly also made for kids at heart. So cool!
The “adult” pools didn’t disappoint either. Seriously, this resort clearly thought of every type of pool anyone could ever wish for.
The beach here is also so fabulous that we went almost every day. Like I said in my previous post, out of all the beaches we saw this trip, this one was our favorite. The sand is unlike anything you’ve ever felt!
We had three favorite pools. Can you imagine? And none of them were every crowded.
One of the best parts about this hotel is a baby elephant. Yes, you read that right. There’s an unlikely resident here, and her name is Yaya. She is so friendly! One day, I was by the pool Skyping with my parents, and up walked Yaya – they got a kick out of her, and so did we!
The biggest downside to Phuket are the bugs. They are massive, and I got bitten up like crazy – especially on my legs/feet. However, despite the mosquitos (and most likely the cause of my bites), we spent our evenings on our massive private balcony, enjoying our very own jacuzzi while listening to the waves.
