Perched atop a steep cliff, with jaw-dropping views of the Mediterranean, lies a town known most for its art – Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia.
It reminds me a lot of Santorini, Greece, with gorgeous blue & white washed buildings draped in flowers, and lovely cobblestoned streets. It was hard to remember we are in Africa and not in Greece.
We didn’t do much in this gorgeous city, except wander around and check out the street and store vendors selling clothing, perfumes, and birdcages. Don’t underestimate walking around, because there’s a lot of beauty to soak in! We stopped in a few shops and attempted to find unique things (which is hard to do in high traffic tourist areas, and if Sidi Bou Said is one thing, it’s a MASSIVE tourist area). We strolled down quiet, hidden streets, just to find out where they lead. We sought out weird looking doors (seriously, the doors here are so fun!). We simply had a blast just being here.
Sidi Bou Said, Tunisia is an enchanting city for sure!
Well, that’s all on Tunisia, folks. I hope you enjoyed some highlights of places to visit in this fabulous North African country!
